As a woman, being selfless is glorified to the extent that you are pretty forced to be one; when you don’t want to, when people around you can’t get it straight in their heads or when you get so tired of explaining stuff that you just change yourself and keep doing things.

Then a day comes you can’t take it anymore, yet no one around you actually understands your predicament. It is just so easy to push a woman’s behaviour under the labels of ‘must be PMS-ing’, ‘you can’t understand women’, ‘she is crazy’, ‘one of her moods’ ….so much so that she gives up on herself entirely…..so much so that complaints start coming in – you have changed, don’t be a bitch or you’re a nag.

That leaves her totally lost, heartbroken, despairing, and devoid of any hope. It is here a woman faces the most arduous challenge of putting up a smile and facing everybody-who-thinks-like-a-chauvinist’s demons, forcing her mind to forget painful encounters thereby protecting herself as much as she can. But how long with that patchwork armor last?

What can she do? For the act of crying of out loud, she is again labelled weak or cry baby or something equally hurtful. So they all just expect her to tow their line without a whimper? Wow! Such crass behavior is not only a bane of our race but also intelligence. In this what must a woman do? Be selfish? Maybe. Except people to be selfish? Yes! They’re never going to change. So let them be, you woman need yourself back. You – strong, independent (in terms of financial and emotional baggage) woman. Can you do this for yourself? And yes… Chuck that stupid armor on your way out. The sunshine is just right for you beyond the door!
